These factors determine the rental price

Rental period and volume discounts

The longer the rental period, the lower the effective daily rate. Weekly rental costs about 4-5 times the daily rate (instead of 7 times), monthly rental 12-15 times. For projects of more than 4 weeks, a direct quote from the rental company pays off.

Transport and delivery distance

Transport is not included in the daily prices above. Luibl Rental delivers with its own low-loaders throughout Belgium - transport costs depend on the delivery distance and machine class. For specific transport costs: send an enquiry.

Season and availability

In high summer (June-August) and when many projects coincide, the availability of certain classes can be limited. Booking early secures availability and stable terms.

Insurance and accessories

Luibl Rental machines are delivered with a valid periodic inspection. Rental damage insurance is recommended to cover damage to the rented machine - the cost varies with the scope of cover. Accessories (basket extensions, additional mounting plates, trailers for truck-mounted platforms) can be booked in addition, subject to availability.

Avoiding hidden costs: checklist for comparing rental quotes

When comparing rental quotes, check the following points:

  • Is transport included in both quotes or charged separately?
  • Is there an excess for damage - or is insurance included?
  • What minimum rental period applies?
  • Is the periodic inspection up to date and is the inspection report available?
  • When is the return, and are there costs for late collection?
  • Is the machine Stage V compliant (relevant for low-emission zones)?

Rent or buy: when does buying pay off?

Buying an aerial work platform typically pays for itself from approx. 150-250 days of use per year - depending on machine class and purchase price. For most trade and construction businesses that do not need a platform permanently, renting is the more economical solution: no capital tied up, no inspection and maintenance costs, no storage.
