Rent a scissor lift - scissor lifts from the 6-metre electric scissor lift to the 34-metre rough-terrain machine
Anyone who wants to lift material and people vertically needs a scissor lift that suits the task - not one that only "sort of fits". At Luibl Rental & Sales, you rent scissor lifts from a rental fleet that ranges from the narrow electric scissor lift for standard doors to the 34-metre rough-terrain machine with 1,000 kg load capacity. Whether you search for scissor lift, scissor platform or scissor work platform - they all mean the same design: an aerial work platform to EN 280 that raises its platform purely vertically via a scissor mechanism. Delivery throughout Belgium - with our own low-loader fleet.
When renting scissor lifts, the choice follows three clear axes: drive (electric, diesel, bi-energy, hybrid), design (standard or high-rack scissor lift) and terrain capability (hall floor or shell construction). Anyone who knows these three axes makes the right machine choice in 90 % of cases.
The designs in the rental fleet
Electric scissor lifts for halls, interior fit-out and logistics
Electric scissor lifts are the standard solution for everything that happens under a roof: warehouse construction, hall renovation, ventilation work, fire alarm systems, electrical installation, drywall construction, exhibition stand construction. The rental fleet covers working heights from 6.30 m to 33.00 m.
-
Low noise and zero local emissions thanks to pure battery operation - suitable for interiors, food businesses and turnkey halls
-
Non-marking tyres on almost all models - no marks on industrial and hall floors
-
Narrow models from 0.76 m width (e.g. KB Lift S-78N, Genie GS 1432m E-Drive) - fit through standard doors
-
Load capacities from 227 kg to 1,000 kg
-
Manufacturers available in the rental fleet: Magni, Holland Lift, HAB, Genie, KB Lift, PB
Diesel scissor lifts for shell construction, facades and outdoor sites
Diesel scissor lifts are designed for unpaved terrain, shell construction sites and facade work. Where an electric machine reaches its limits in range or terrain capability, the diesel scissor lift takes over.
-
Four-wheel drive (4x4) and oscillating axle - handle slopes and uneven terrain
-
Hydraulic outriggers - level the machine even on sloping ground
-
Generous platforms with extension decks - work surfaces from 7 to more than 9 metres long on the top models
-
Load capacities up to 1,000 kg (Magni DS3225RT, Holland Lift Megastar G320, Liftlux 260-25)
-
Working heights up to 34 m (Holland Lift Megastar G320: 33.70 m, Magni DS3225RT: 32 m)
High-rack scissor lifts for logistics centres
High-rack scissor lifts are the specialist class for modern logistics centres, where conventional machines are either too wide or too low. They combine extreme working height with a narrow width and - depending on the model - the ability to drive at full working height.
-
Working heights from 18.50 m to 33.00 m for the top racking levels
-
Suitable for narrow aisles - matched to the aisle widths of common high-bay warehouses
-
Load capacities of 500 to 1,000 kg for stocktaking, maintenance, sprinkler installation and warehouse conversion
-
Manufacturers in the rental fleet: Holland Lift, HAB, PB, Magni
-
Top model: Holland Lift HL330_E14_4WDS with 33 m working height
Hybrid and bi-energy scissor lifts for alternating use
Hybrid scissor lifts are the answer to projects that switch between outdoor site and hall as work progresses. A diesel unit takes the machine over unpaved ground to the work location and charges independently of the grid; indoors, the machine switches to pure battery operation.
-
Working heights from 11.75 m to 27.20 m, load capacities from 363 kg to 1,000 kg
-
Four-wheel drive - terrain-capable on gravel, topsoil and slopes
-
No machine change when conditions change: one transport, one briefing
-
Manufacturers in the rental fleet: Holland Lift, Genie, PB
-
Top model: Holland Lift M250HYL25 Combistar 4WD with 27.20 m working height and 1,000 kg load capacity
Choosing the right scissor lift - five decision criteria
Instead of a long list of models, a short check of your own requirements helps. These five points are most often decisive in our advice:
-
Working height: The working height is about 2 metres above the platform height - that is the operator's reach. If you work at a height of 12 m, you need a machine with a platform height of 10 m.
-
Load capacity on the platform: People, tools and material together. For two fitters plus tools, 350 to 450 kg is realistic; for sprinkler installation, ventilation assembly or drywall construction, more like 600 to 1,000 kg.
-
Ground: Smooth hall floor = electric with non-marking tyres. Shell construction, gravel, sloping terrain = four-wheel-drive diesel version.
-
Width and clearance height: Do doors, gates or lifts have to be passed? The narrowest models in the fleet are less than 0.77 m wide.
-
Drive and power availability: On sites without comprehensive power supply, bi-energy or hybrid machines make sense because they can switch between diesel and electric operation.
If in doubt, it is worth calling our rental advice team - the right choice of machine usually saves more overall than the rental price difference between individual classes.
Drive options compared
Electric (battery): Indoors, logistics, commercial halls, sensitive environments. Low noise, zero local emissions, charging from a standard 230 V socket. Range limited to the working day on a full charge.
Diesel: Shell construction, outdoor sites, facade work, industrial sites. Highest load capacity and terrain values. Stage V engines on current models.
Bi-energy / hybrid: Long outdoor jobs without a power connection, later indoor use. Diesel for driving, electric for working with zero local emissions in the hall. Useful on sites with changing conditions. → View all hybrid scissor lifts
Safety & statutory inspections
Every scissor lift in the Luibl Rental fleet undergoes periodic inspection by an external technical inspection body (EDTC/SECT) and is checked by our workshop staff before every delivery. Standard equipment includes: tilt alarm, overload protection (blocks lifting when the rated load is exceeded), mechanical emergency lowering system and emergency lowering from the ground on both sides.
For safe operation: the operator must have received instruction in line with the Code on Well-being at Work, Book IV (work equipment). Personal protective equipment against falls is worn on the platform in line with applicable Belgian safety rules. On handover you receive an operator briefing on site. Throughout the rental period you can request a service technician on site.
Delivery and logistics
Having our own low-loader fleet is not standard in the industry but a difference in service. It ensures that scissor lifts arrive on site on the agreed date and without a chain of subcontractors.

Long-term rental with individual conditions, periodic inspection by an EDTC/SECT and maintenance during the rental period
-
Combined offers for large sites with several machines (e.g. scissor lift plus telehandler plus forklift)
How much does it cost to rent a scissor lift?
The rental price of a scissor lift depends on five factors. If you clarify them in advance, you get a comparable quote instead of a price range.
- Working height and design: There are several price classes between a 6 m electric scissor lift for interior fit-out and a 34 m rough-terrain machine. High-rack scissor lifts with a narrow width form a segment of their own.
- Drive: Electric scissor lifts for smooth floors, four-wheel-drive diesel machines for unpaved terrain and hybrids with both operating modes differ significantly in rate.
- Load capacity and platform size: Extension decks and higher basket loads are reflected in the rental price.
- Rental period: Daily, weekly and monthly rates are tiered; from several months onwards, long-term conditions apply, with periodic inspection and maintenance during the rental period.
- Transport: Delivery and collection by our own low-loader are listed separately and depend on the distance to your site, the transport weight and access.
The rental price includes the inspected machine with valid periodic inspection, maintenance and periodic inspections during the rental period, and technical advice on machine selection. Tell us the working height, ground, load capacity, rental period and site location - and you will receive an itemised quote including transport.
